What is mindfulness? – Katrina Kidson
Katrina Kidson is running some classes this year that you might be interested in. The first are about mindfulness, starting with a free “What is Mindfulness” on 20 February, followed by a 4 week class in March. The course is not religious and does not require people to sit in strange positions. Its focused on a very practical approach that you can immediately use at work and in everyday life. Research from the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre shows that mindfulness improves your wellbeing, physical health and mental health. The second opportunity is to join some Group Business Coaching. People who have been through this really rave about it and its helps business owners and managers achieve more and with less stress. We cover setting strategy, getting things done, communication and other topics relevant to the group. You also get a peer group that you can share with. The format is a 90 minute session monthly for 6 months. This group will meet 9.30am on a Wednesday, starting 13 February. More groups will be formed this year, please email Katrina if you are interested in joining a group but that time doesn’t suit you.
