A Story of the Morri Street Cafe New Owner- “Gorgeous Gary’s Grab”

Chapter 1… I was born in the “auld sod”, and raised in…blah, blah….

We wanted to raise our family in Nelson so we quit our jobs in Sydney, travelled Asia and Europe for almost a year with our then 8-month-old girl and 4-year-old boy, and landed here in December to get settled in time for the new school year. Go St. Joeys!!

We loved the ethos of Morrison Street Café – great food, outstanding coffee, fabulous team, and all done with community and sustainability in mind. So we bought the café!

All we want to do now is have lots of fun, get involved, and make Nelsonians feel at home when they visit us.

We’ve refreshed the menu, added new sweets and savouries for all dietary needs, and upped our game when it comes to coffee. Like you we love to treat ourselves when we can, but we can’t do that every day! So we’ve added an exciting new “lunch under $10 bucks” range, like spicy pulled pork bao buns, veggie pizzas, or chicken + salad sandwich. You’re welcome, Nelson!!!
