New water fountains are being installed around our Smart Little City | Nelson City Council

You will find water fountains popping up at Isel Park and Miyazu Park, in time for the Cherry Blossom and Bloom events later this year.

They’ll have a bubbler tap, water bottle filler and a self-emptying dog bowl (in parks that are popular for dog walking).

Not only will you have access to free water when events are on, anyone can get a refreshing drink of water all year round!

A smart, sustainable new approach means that one water fountain can be installed for the same cost as supplying 3-4 events with a water tanker.

Plus, if you take your own bottles to events, you’re helping us work towards zero-waste.
