Dr Luca De Leonardis – Head for Australia and New Zealand at Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), the Government Department responsible for attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment into Hong Kong. With senior management experience in both the private and public sectors, Dr De Leonardis’ work experience combines international marketing, economic and business development and investment promotion. Dr De Leonardis holds a Ph.D. In Economics, a Master in Management & Strategy and a Master in International Trade from Bologna University and two advanced diplomas in Business and Management and Economics.
Franky Wang – Head of Asia Business Activation, Bank of New Zealand. Franky Wang is a strong banking professional at Bank of New Zealand with a demonstrated track record of working in the Commercial, Corporate and Institutional Banking segments across different locations in China, Australia and New Zealand. He has managed several portfolios of influential customers over the past many years with multiple banks in New Zealand dealing directly with Asia, particularly China, from both capital inflow and trade outflow perspectives connecting offshore investors into Aotearoa. The industry expertise of his includes, Artificial Intelligence, Aviation Services, Commercialized Bottled Water Export, Dairy, E-Commerce, Education, FinTech, Forestry, Hospitality, Healthcare, Meat, Professionals and Retailing sectors. Franky holds a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Finance and Economics from Massey University in Palmerston North, a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Finance (Honours) and a Master of Finance degree from Massey University in Auckland.
Wenzhu Qiu – Marketing Director – Ebaytown.Wenzhu Qiu has 15 years marketing experience in China joining Pic’s Ebaytown in 2018 as Group Marketing Director. After completing a Master of Management at Auckland University, she started up a distribution services platform with business partners. Prior to that she was employed as a Senior Account Manager in Proctor & Gamble China, managing 9 categories such as Hair-care, Skincare, Oral-care, Snacks and managing channels that included Top 3 distributors & direct supply clients such as Lotus & Mannings (average volume @ 100 mil RMB/ year. Ebaytown are in partnership with Pic’s Peanut Butter to market Pic’s peanut butter in China.
SEE China NZ – We facilitate 2 way student exchange programs between China and NZ. Our main focus is currently on Nelson, bringing Chinese students from 10yrs right through to high school. We are also working towards setting up NZ style play-based learning pre-schools in China.
Infonet Group – Focused on the trade of goods. Our Chinese shareholders have deep business networks and we are co-investing with the local government in the Greater Bay Area into a website to allow low risk trading channels for their Chinese importers. We intend on working with Nelson producers and matching them up with trustworthy importers in China. We facilitating delegations to and from China, use our network to create strong partnerships with Nelson businesses, utilise the website and supply chain to help our get local products into China and facilitate investment into the NZ market.
