It's a local success story that has overcome some tough times…
Welcome to Autumn! This is such an exciting time of year at the Nelson Farmers Market with a real abundance of produce. They still have a great supply of summer fruit and vegetables and have the beginnings of autumn crops, including pumpkins, pears, apples, grapes etc.
Moutere Fruits has started at the Market. They have fresh juicy strawberries and real fruit jams and sauces. Nutt Ranch, now attends monthly and will be at the Market on 18 March. Annika’s Bakery has also started attending on the first Wednesday of every month so you can pre-order and collect your monthly supply of gluten free buckwheat bread, or just turn up on the day. In Season Fruit & Veg has started offering house plants and has a range of varieties available. Hot of the press this week is a new cheese from Kaikoura Cheese. All will be revealed on Wednesday so come along and see what it is.
The Market also has a knife sharpener so if you have ANYTHING that needs sharpening drop it off and it can be sharpened while you shop for your produce and artisan food.
Remember the Market is on every Wednesday, rain or shine at 105 Bridge Street, so pop on down and see what is fresh this week.
