We’re going dry this July to enable more men and women to get the one- on- one or small group cancer rehabilitation: Activate Physiotherapy
We’re going dry this July to enable more men and women…
Located at 157 Rutherford St with the magnificent glass windows – you can’t miss it. Since the Govt lockdown announcement Dean (the new owner) and his team of loyal locals have been working hard to get everything ready.
“It was both an exciting and a scarey time to go out on a venture like this. Level 4 lockdown made things really challenging. My team really stood by me and we had a successful launch in June and things are taking off,” says Dean.
The new showroom looks amazing. You can look and touch their quality flooring products ranging from Residential to Commercial Carpets. Vinyls with all kinds of colours and textures… to realistic looking Polymer planking. Timber flooring to Luxury vinyl tiles… you name it The Flooring Room has it (or can get it quickly)
Dean has been a local Nelsonian for over 16 years, but was raised in South Africa, where he developed a passion for rugby. In his mid twenties this passion lead him to the UK where he was enjoying playing for local rugby team.
Dean ended up working for a London based recruiting agency, and thats when cupids arrow struck and he met his wife Heather who was also working for a recruitment agency and was from Nelson.
It seems the recruiter got “recruited”. Dean ended up working for Heathers Dad, who owned a local flooring company (Harvey’s Floorpride) and the rest is history. Now he enjoys raising his two sons and enjoys a good mountain bike session in the weekends.
Dean knows the flooring business well and has a great team of 3 local staffs who can assist with any questions, quotes or make suggestions.
“Im very passionate about supporting local, so we use local businesses for everything including sub-contractors, CanPlan for our rubbish bins, an e-bike to zip around town for meetings and more. Our customers like to know that when they order flooring from us the money stays in the region and doesn’t go offshore. This place feels like home and were in it for the long haul.” says Dean.
