Nelson’s brand new Riverside Youth Pop-up Park: Nelson City Council
Nelson’s brand new Riverside Youth Pop-up Park in Halifax Street, is now open!
The park is a place for Nelson’s young and young at heart, with a pump track for skaters, bicycles and scooters, a solar-lit basketball half-court, an imagination playground for younger children, planters, picnic tables, a ping pong table and colourful seating.
The park is the result of a collaboration between Nelson City Council and Wakatū Incorporation, which owns the space.
During Alert Level 2, additional sanitation of the play equipment will take place. A sanitising station is provided and a QR code is on display for checking in with the NZ COVID Tracer app. Park users are asked to practice physical distancing wherever practicable.
