@night_vision_nelson is happening this Thursday October 1st and we thought we’d make a night of it! We will be open until 9pm with Design store specials and a last chance to view our exhibition, ‘Feast of Feathers’ in the beautiful evening light. Our lovely Cafe will be open and serving delicious Little River cheese boards and homemade cakes. Galleries across the city will be open late and artists will be performing in the streets, join us!

Following on in our celebration of Feast of Feathers is Fiona Sutherland. Fiona grew up in Scotland in an artistic family, influenced by her father David Sutherland, the legendary Beano artist.
In 2008 she moved to Nelson, Aotearoa where she makes sculpture and paintings and teaches art. Her work is always figurative, often whimsical and emotive, and often utilises animals to explore human dynamics and relationships. Her stylised characters are decorative and carefully rendered with attention to beautiful details.
