NZ Cider Festival 2020


We have a record number of Cider makers attending this years festival, that means over 100 varieties of Cider for you to try!

Our Cider makers make the trip to Nelson from all over NZ, so you get the chance to chat to them at each stand and get the background story on what you are drinking.

  • 2020 Award winning Ciders – come along and hear who this years winners were in the Cider NZ annual awards and why the judges chose them. Includes (limited) tasters of winning ciders
  • ‘The Ciderologist’ Gabe Cook – yes, you read it right, Gabe is back! but not in the pyhiscal sense, Gabe will be live streaming in from his home in the UK. You will not want to miss Gabes session.
  • Making Cider at Home – Ed from the League of Brewers will talk you though the secret steps to create your perfect homemade Cider
  • Live Judging of the 2020 Amateur Cider Maker Competition – this will be a fun one to watch – a panel of Cider judges will debate the entries and crown our first ever NZ Amateur Cider Maker!

With the recent change on Auckland returning to level 1, we are super confident that we will deliver Cider Festival without any further hiccups!

We encourage you to make the most of level 1 and BUY your tickets NOW, this makes our planning so much easier and more importantly means our Cider makers know how much Cider to bring for you to drink!!

** If we are unable to stage Cider Festival due to a change in Covid levels,
all tickets will be refunded in full **
