International Women’s Day plus Seaweek began on Saturday (ends on Sunday 14th): PACK & SEND

Today is International Women’s Day plus Seaweek began on Saturday (ends on Sunday 14th). Did you know that the ocean and ships are often referred to in the female sense?
Traditionally the sea is thought of as a nurturer with the spirits of the sea being associated with fertility. Olde English also used a system of naming, with many inanimate objects such as boats referred to in the feminine form, also Captains often named ships after significant female figures in their lives!
