Please join the Nelson Farmers Market to celebrate National Farmers Market Week on 24 March. The theme this year is ‘Food Resilience in times of crisis’. It is becoming increasingly important that we source as much of our food as we can locally, so please pop on down to the Nelson Farmers Market and help them celebrate locally grown seasonal produce, artisan food and ready-to-eat food. There will be fridge magnets and bumper stickers to give away. They will have a couple of Farmers Market bags full of produce to give away so simply enter on the day at any stall. The winner will be notified that day and can collect their prize the following Wednesday.
A big congratulations to Viavio Cheese for their most recent awards. They won GOLD MEDALS for Bocconcini, Caciocavallo and Sheep milk Pecorino at the NZ Cheese Awards 2021. If you haven’t tried these yet we highly recommend it. If you are not sure how to best use them Flavia or Brenda can give you some tip.
The Nelson Farmers Market is open EVERY WEDNESDAY in Kirby Lane from 8.00am to 1.30pm.
