Established by Dave Guthardt (Gus), Cutting Edge has been a member of the Nelson business community since 1999. The talented team of skilled craftsmen, all of whom have a passion for delivering innovative ideas from design through installation. With two fully qualified in-house graphic designers, Arko and Eden, they take your ideas and concepts and turn them into creative designs that capture and represent your brand’s personality. Health and safety of the staff, clients and the public are of high priority for Cutting Edge. They follow strict regulations both in house and when installing sign outdoors. In fact, they are the only manufacturer in the region with SiteWise Green Certification and all installers have training and license to work at height and they also have a dedicated Health and Safety Manager. Cutting Edge is a company built on family and community. For that reason, it is extremely important for them to give back at every available opportunity.
“We believe that doing good in the world is the right thing to do to the community and environment. We also recycle and reuse materials by organizing craft projects for children in collaboration with various community-based organizations and schools, says Arko.
Giving back to the community and the environment is important to us, which is why we proudly support charities and organisations such as Victory Community Centre, Brook Sanctuary, Community Compost, Autism and Nelson Theatre Youth Company.
And Cutting Edge is also the only signage manufacturer in Nelson Tasman that is part of the Zero Waste initiative and aim to only use “green materials” by 2024 and reduce our carbon footprint further.
Cutting Edge is a Climate Positive certified business operation. Also after the Covid-19 lockdown, they have distributed Covid posters and floor decals to about 190 local business at no cost.
