Introducing Janine from Tim’s Garden

We’re excited to welcome Janine to the Tim’s Garden team. Janine brings her administration skills, horticultural knowledge and can-do attitude to our office to help support our admin and shop staff as the business continues to grow. Welcome, Janine! Here’s a little bit about her…
Time at the company: Since June 2021
The best part about working for Tim’s Garden: Being amongst passionate and knowledgeable people who genuinely pride themselves in working with organic principles in sustainable ways for locals.
Previous work: I have previously worked in various places and various roles – in Aviation, adventure tourism, office administration, property developments, and studied Horticulture at NMIT.
Favourite plant & edible plant: My favourite plant is the Nikau and my favourite edible plant is the Tomato.
Interests/hobbies: Food, swimming, fishing, biking, hiking and Yoga. I enjoy enhancing and developing our property and organic edible gardens with my family. I particularly enjoy sowing seeds in the greenhouse and watching my five and six-year-old girls eat most of the produce before it gets to the table also growing enough food to share in the community.
Gardening tip: Know your soil type and plant the right plants for your soil. Knowing what you have at your property will help you select the right additives you need to improve your soils existing properties.
