Rich Mixture of shows and experience on the stage at Theatre Royal

There’s a very rich mixture of shows and experience on the stage this month. Young dancers and musicians will be performing in VAST DANCE FESTIVAL, ROCKSHOP BANDQUEST and the ballet COPPÉLIA.

These shows are interspersed with experienced actors and musicians, with Theatre Royal Patron Mark Hadlow on stage alongside Alison Quigan in Roger Hall’s WINDING UP. Then TROY KINGI with DELANEY DAVIDSON, and finally Indian Ink’s PARADISE OR THE IMPERMANENCE OF ICE CREAM. So much great art to choose from!

Read on for news, updates and information about shows coming up.
We look forward to seeing you in the Theatre soon.

COVID-19 IMPACTS

We’re very sorry to share the news that, due to the Covid-19 situation in Australia, The WORLD OF MUSICALS New Zealand tour has been postponed.

The company is currently in Australia and has had to postpone and reschedule the tour there three times due to lockdowns, and are now out of options for this year.

The good news is that the Nelson show has been rescheduled to Tuesday 5 July 2022. If you have tickets, hang on to them as they are valid for the new date.

Ticket holders will be contacted directly.

The Theatre Royal Box Office is open Mon-Fri, 10am-4pm, and one hour before shows.
Tickets are also available online through our website. Click on the button below to read about shows and book tickets.
