Waste Minimisation at Events 101’ workshops: Nelson City Council

Rethink Waste is delighted to offer two free ‘Waste Minimisation at Events 101’ workshops for event organisers at the Trafalgar Pavillion on 18 and 25 August (9.30/11.30am)

The workshops will provide practical steps on how to set up systems at your event to help you work towards zero waste. Using the new Rethink Waste plans and resources, the workshop will include hands-on activities, and guidance on the following:
• Planning waste out of your event
• Working with stallholders
• Types of packaging and how they can be processed
• Introduction to reusables/washing systems
• Messaging and communications
• How to set up effective stations on-site
• Working out costs to build into your event budget
• Health & safety
