Live Lounge Sessions: Mister Nobody

The Shades Gratitude Tour
The Shades are touring their long awaited new album release titled Gratitude. The album will be toured across 5 cities in NZ and the evening will share songs from this new album, stories from their recent time in New York (pre and post Covid) and the reason for the album.

Mid-Winter Music
Nelson College for Girls with the Preparatory School are proud to present a concert of beautiful music to warm your soul on a cold winter’s night.
Come and listen to their choirs, orchestra, chamber music groups and soloists display their virtuosity, with challenging repertoire from Bach to modern classics.

Hatching, Matching and Dispatching
The concert will commence with excerpts of Hayden’s Creations and conclude with excerpts from Mozart’s Requiem. In between we celebrate NZ composers, Dorothy Buchanan and Chris Artley’s Missa Brevis and well as a selection of other well-known works. We will also share our concert with the Male Voice Choir, Naycol Chorale, Alan Gray and Lissa Cowie.

Jazz singer Tessa Quayle will be joined by Nelson’s one and only Doug Stenhouse on keys and Jim Boyden on drums. This group was specially formed for this Live Lounge session and will be sure to play some classic swinging jazz!

The Kids Sing
Young singers are set to shine on stage at The Kids Sing festivals all around New Zealand in 2021. Twelve school choirs from Nelson/Tasman will be performing two contrasting songs and a massed choir song “I Love Life” by local songwriters Kath Bee and Doug Stenhouse. Each day the students will be rehearsing their songs and learning some new choral skills. In the evening they will be performing all their songs for their parents and friends in the NCMA Auditorium.
