Nelson Parent and Child Expo is back bigger than ever!
Let’s be honest, raising kids is hard work! How do we learn the skills to do a good job? Many have had a healthy example from their parents, and sadly many have not. The good news is The Nelson Parent and Child expo is going to be a positive and insightful learning experience for many and will shed some light on one of life’s most important tasks.
Nelson Venues and Events have been busy behind the scenes getting ready, and last year Covid-19 lockdowns meant the event couldn’t go ahead. We spoke with Shelley Haring from Nelson Venues, about this wonderful event and how it will be bigger and better than previous years.
“We are proud to bring you the Annual Nelson Parent and Child Expo. Supporting and collaborating with local organisations in our community for the 10th year on Sunday 12th of September 2021 at Founder’s Heritage Park from 10 am to 3 pm.

There will be local food vendors, a kids zone, bouncy castles and the Founders Historic Village will be open to explore.
There are some very talented speakers and entertainers booked who will help inspire you on your parenting journey. Expect a fun day out, with loads of entertainment from the likes of
nationally recognised children’s entertainers like Suzy Cato, Kath Bee, and Steve Wilbury. Kids fun with Flossie the balloon lady, fun gardening activities with Tim’s Garden, cooking activities with Nourishfull & The Healthstyle Doctor and the ever popular Mitre 10 Trade activities.
Nelson is such a great place to raise a family. Many are unaware of all the great resources we have in the region, and this expo will bring it all together in the same place.
