Create your own Museum display at home!: Nelson Provincial Museum
Calling all Kid Curators ?
Create your own Museum display at home!
Our Museum is filled with taonga (treasured possessions) that each hold a special story.
Every object in our Museum has a label which includes the objects name, a date, and a little description about what it is.
Can you find a special place in your home to display your taonga, or favourite things?
You could think of creative ways to display them. You could write labels to stick beside them so that you can share them with your whānau, or even with our curators here at the Museum!
Our creative colleague Jolie looked around her house to see what taonga she thought were special. She made a collection of ‘tiny things she had made’ and another including ‘treasures from her family.’
Your ideas can be as big or as small as you like! Perhaps some creations you have made from Lego, objects found outside, favourite books, or your own artworks.
We’d love to see your creations!
