The Baker’s Coffee Shop is well known for its European-style artisan baking and barista experience. We aspire to the traditions of Continental European pastries, breads, coffees and hospitality. Our baking, barista and customer service processes are unique which result in our high customer satisfaction ratings. Above all, we love what we do and we love to have fun! We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 2:30pm.
The Role:
This is a multi-tasked role that means you will be involved in a wide variety of all aspects of our operations from baking, barista, shop set-up, and customer service through to end-of-shift cleaning up. The environment is fast-paced and people-oriented with tasks and responsibilities shared collectively. Our team is one and no-one is our team! Our team ethos is ‘one team, working together’.
For you:
We recognise the importance of work-life balance which means we are strictly a Monday to Friday business closed on statutory holidays too. We also have an annual close-down period over Christmas and New Year. We reward our team members based on their overall contribution to the team and this comes in the form of the hourly wage, employer Kiwi-Saver contribution plus periodic performance bonuses. Moreover, we provide fantastic opportunities for personal growth and relationship development.
About you:
You will be an allrounder with a ‘can-do’ and ‘will do’ attitude who comes with a high level of personal presentation and a genuine passion for artisanal baking and coffee making as well as a willingness to engage professionally and serve our customers through personal delight and with the highest possible standards. You do not need to be a qualified baker or a qualified barista… however you do need to have barista experience and will need to demonstrate a truly authentic connection to what we produce as well as convince us that you have consistently high levels of positive energy and that you appreciate what we are about.
