As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the region, Nelson City Council is prepared

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the region, Nelson City Council is prepared for the different ways our staff, facilities, and services may be impacted.
Council will do everything it can to keep services and facilities open at least some of the time, but there may be reduced hours as staff and contractors are required to self-isolate or redeploy to essential services. Some services and facilities may even have to close for periods of time.
Critical services like waste collections, recycling, funeral and crematoria services, roading and water maintenance will continue, and online services and payments will still be available.
To receive immediate notification of any closures or changes to hours, download the Antenno App. The app allows Council to send important updates directly to your phone. Visit our website http://www.nelson.govt.nz/services/apps/antenno/ for more information.
Council also shares updates through its Our Nelson newsletter. You can subscribe to it here: https://our.nelson.govt.nz/subscribe/.
And as always, updates will be shared on our social media channels.
For updates on library services, including branch opening hours, visit the libraries’ website at nelsonpubliclibraries.co.nz/ or follow Nelson Public Libraries Ngā Whare Mātauranga o Whakatū on Facebook.
If you have any questions, our Customer Service Centre can be reached at enquiry@ncc.govt.nz or by calling our 24/7 phone service at 03 546 0200.
