623 In the City is a Restaurant and Bar in the heart of Nelson city and is looking for a Duty Manager to join our new team. We are looking for an energetic person who is keen to work hard, thrive working in a team environment and have a passion for the industry. This position is 30+ hours per week and includes nights and weekends. Sunday’s and Monday’s off.
Your duties will include:
Managing the staff
Providing high levels of customer service
Cash handling
Closing and Opening procedures
Working the floor and bar
Training staff Maintaining processes and procedures
Managing the Gaming Rooms
Preferably the candidate with have their Duty Manager Certificate but the right applicant with suitable experience can be put through the process of obtaining their Duty Manager Certificate. Experience will be paid accordingly. Unvaccinated applicants can apply.

623 In The City is a restaurant/bar located in the heart of Nelson City. We are looking for a Chef to join our team. The position is approx. 25+ hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts.
To apply for this role you must have:
– A minimum of 2 years experience in similar roles.
– Good knowledge of cookery
– Experience in the grill section
– Understand the importance of consistency and costings
– Responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines including Food Control Plan management
– Ability to organise the kitchen
– Great communication & organisational skills
– Work well in a team and under pressure
– An enthusiastic, positive attitude and take pride in your work
You will need to have a strong work ethic, positive energy and be a team player. Hourly wage $27. Unvaccinated can apply.
