After Christina was diagnosed with an aggressive carcinoma of the breast in 2020, she faced multiple surgeries, including a mastectomy and a breast reconstruction, followed by six months of chemotherapy.
Despite experiencing the grueling side effects of surgery and treatment, Christina started walking every day and found that exercising was the key to her recovery.
Christina started attending Pinc & Steel’s Next Steps classes and found comfort in Megan, her P&S physiotherapist. Megan helped her recover from not only the physical, but the emotional and psychological challenges that can often come with a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
“Pinc and Steel Next Steps was so much fun, there was so much camaraderie in the room”.
We’re so proud to be able to help fund Pinc & Steel’s incredible programmes, helping people like Christina access support in a time when they need it most.
