School Holiday Children’s Art Programmes at The Suter Art Gallery
Running the second week of the school holidays, from Monday the 10th of October to Friday 14th of October, 2022.
Looking for a unique school holiday programme in Nelson? Our children’s art programmes are inspired by The Suter’s art exhibitions! The Mina Ardnt Education Room looks out over the Queen’s Gardens and the outdoors Sculpture Walk, which also provides a tranquil backdrop and additional subject matter.
Monday 10th October 2022: Stoked to storyboard
Create your own storyboard using collage techniques, including gelli printing
Tuesday 11th October 2022: Awesome Angus
Painting portraits influenced by the work of Rita Angus.
Wednesday 12th October 2022: Upcycled Art
Turning trash into art, we will use recycled materials to make our own crazy creatures
Thursday 13th October 2022: Floral Fun
Make your own paper flower bouquet
Friday 14th October 2022: Unbe-weave-able!
Paper weaving inspired by the art of Selina Foote
All workshops: 9am – 12pm
Cost: $35.00 per class (price includes all materials)
Age: 7-12 years
What to bring: Morning tea and a drink bottle, comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty
Maximum 12 students per class
