Dancing For A Cause – Raising Money For Nelson Tasman Hospice.
Former NZ Warriors & NZ Kiwi League Captain SIMON MANNERING’S FULL PLAYING KIT SIGNED – WORN IN THE WOMEN IN LEAGUE ROUND 2012
Whether you’re a league fan or not this is a chance to win one of Simon Mannering’s full playing kit he wore in the 2012 Women In League Round – dirt and all! Never been washed since. Jersey, shorts, socks and named bag.
Simon gave this kit to his Grandmother as she had been diagnosed with breast cancer not long after this game. When she heard about Ben’s (her son in law’s) participation in the NBS Dancing For A Cause raising money for Nelson Tasman Hospice, she thought the occasion was fitting to offer the kit to Ben to raise some money for this most amazing organisation.
Towards the end of his career Simon had been on the field almost 22,000 minutes – or close to 370 hours – while carrying the ball more than 27,000 metres (an average of 95 metres a game) and making more than 9300 tackles (an average of about 32 tackles a game). Simon became the first player to make it to 300 games for the NZ Warriors club.
