Seasons greetings to the Cultural Conversations whānau.
Much of the value of Christmas is the same for anyone, irrespective of religious faith.
It can be a time to foster gratitude, stop and reflect on the past year. Last week at the Global Stitch up we bravely shared what we would like to let go off in our lives and the responses were very powerful. Sometimes sharing an intention can make it more achievable.
Christmas can also be a time to relax, enjoy friends and whanau, a time of hospitality and generosity.
Reduce Reuse Recycle
Reusable Festive Gift Bags
Have a waste free Christmas this year with these hand made cloth bags.
Thanks to our kind community, we have had fabric and ribbon donations so what better use than to make our own Christmas wrapping bags.
They save time, and they look beautiful under the tree.
Whoever gets your gift can also keep the bag or reuse it for someone else. Let’s pass the aroha around.
These small bags are $5 each. There are limited numbers so get in quick to avoid missing out.
If you are buying gifts, please consider local. Here are some reasons why:
• You are supporting a local initiative.
• You are valuing our community.
• You are building social cohesion and connection.
• You are giving back to society.
• You are helping an organisation that believes in equity.
• You are giving people a sense of belonging.
• You are recycling and caring about the environment.
• Giving is good for your health and is contagious.
The list could go on and on.
