In the spotlight – Linda Lucre – Funeral Director.
Linda was born and educated in Nelson. She has also spent time overseas and in various other areas in New Zealand but was pulled to return to Nelson while her elderly parents were alive.
What are you most proud of?
My family and the grandies they have given us. My previous work roles, many of you will know me from the Cancer Society Nelson. We had amazing support from the community for Daffodil day. Following the Cancer Society I was privileged to help set up and manage a new dental practice in Nelson.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Where do I start, I have many interests from following sport including travelling to the Australian Tennis open, I’m an avid Nelson Giants supporter, rugby, cricket, travelling to visit our families, though I’m not sure who gets more excited; them or us! and creating a peaceful home environment to entertain friends and family.
What’s your Favourite Food?
Anything that someone else has cooked! I enjoy cooking for guests and Bill creates an array of meals when I’m working. I appreciate well-made authentic Asian food.
What would I like to achieve in the next 12 months?
To support the great Simplicity team and the families we come into contact with.
