Golden Bay is a stunning location known for its beautiful beaches and picturesque landscapes. What better place to host a photography retreat focused on teaching landscape photography as an art form?
The retreat will be hosted by two of New Zealand’s best-known landscape photographers; Craig Potton, who has spent a lifetime capturing the beauty of New Zealand’s natural landscapes and selling prints from his gallery. And joining him is Richard Young, a Fine Art Printing Ambassador for Epson, who brings his refined tuition on portfolio-building along with a passion for exploring a more expressive approach to landscape photography. The retreat will provide the opportunity to learn from both of these photographers and enhance your vision of landscape photography as a form of art.
The wild beaches of Golden Bay offer the perfect backdrop to develop your own artistic approach to the landscape. During the four days you will have the opportunity to explore the incredible coastlines, including Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit, with Craig & Richard offering their expert guidance both in the field and in dedicated tuition sessions to support your photographic journey on the retreat.
The tuition element on this retreat has been designed for more experienced photographers, with Craig and Richard hosting lectures on landscape photography as art alongside offering feedback within image critique sessions.
The retreat will be based at Zatori Lodge, with a conference room offering panoramic views of Collingwood Estuary looking out towards Farewell Spit. It is fully inclusive, with breakfasts, lunches and dinners included along with single-room accommodation.
