EMERGE Exhibition: Opening Thursday 11 May: Parker Gallery

For the first time ever, we are hosting the New Zealand Centre for Fine Woodworking’s Graduate Exhibition, which opens next Thursday, 11th May. As well as our regular stable of fine artists, we will be showcasing the work of Amanda, Ben, Christopher, Greg, John, Karen, Nick & Sophia, who have recently completed the 2022 Furniture Makers’ Programme. The Furniture Makers’ Programme is a 32-week intensive course designed and developed by practising furniture makers and teachers. Each term students design, maquette and build a project, and this exhibition will feature a cross-section of their completed works. [Note: Several works on display will be available by commission only.]

The Centre for Fine Woodworking is a not-for-profit school of excellence dedicated to offering the highest quality of tuition available in fine woodworking. The school is located in Nelson, New Zealand, and offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the art and practice of fine woodworking under the guidance of highly experienced tutors and internationally renowned woodworkers.

Opening Thursday 11 May, 5.30pm
