Fares for the new eBus service

We’re starting to get plenty of questions about how our new eBus fare system will work from 1 August and how this may be affected by the changes to fares announced by central government in the last budget.
? Here are the main things you need to know.

From now UNTIL 1 August 2023:
?️ Fares remain half price for all passengers in Nelson Tasman.

From 1 August 2023:
?️ The NEW eBus fare system kicks in (see fare matrix).
The lowest fares and all concessions are ONLY available on Bee Card
One zone = $2 (eg. Richmond to Nelson), two zone = $4 (eg. Mapua/Wakefield to Nelson), three zone = $6 (eg. Motueka/Tasman to Nelson)
Cash fares for one zone are $3, two zones $6, three zones $9
All transfers to different routes are free within one hour.
?️ Children under 12 travel free.
?️ People under 25 travel for half price. This means an 18-year-old travelling from Richmond to Nelson will pay $1 for their trip.
?️ Community Service Card holders travel for half price.
?️ Super Gold Card holders continue to get free off peak travel on all routes.
