Laser Kiwi
Laser Kiwi is the World’s Only Surreal, Sketch, Circus troupe! The trio from Wellington, New Zealand have been full time creating, performing and touring together since 2014.

They’re irreverent, they’re funny, with world class circus skills and a knack for breaking the mould. Their mission is to create work no-one else is creating, to bring joy & to help people take life a little less seriously.

Their shows have won them awards and nominations all over the world. Winning ‘Best Circus’ Fringe World 2023! Nominated for Offie 2024 and they even made the Best Comedy Show at Edinburgh Fringe 2023 long list (among the 35 funniest shows out of thousands). Reviewers have said things like: “Clever, Beautiful and extremely silly all at the same time” – The Scotsman . “Unbridled fun and contagious laughter” – See Do Eat Review.

They tour all over the world performing their unique creations for audiences from Italy to Australia (New Zealand is technically further away, but doesn’t sound quite as impressive).

They wrote their first Laser Kiwi show on the plane to Canada on a whim! The mission was to give ideas that had been in the back of their minds a crack onstage using what they could fit within their luggage allowance. This show was a cult hit and they didn’t know it then, but they had stumbled onto a format/style that was uniquely Laser Kiwi. A style which became their framework for ultimate freedom onstage. Now billed as Surreal, Sketch, Circus.

Zane Jarvie, Degge Jarvie and Imogen Stone all grew up in and around the circus as kids/teens. Their design degrees have played a big role in the way they think about developing, and iterating ideas – which is what Laser Kiwi is all about. They are a tight knit family. Within the troupe there is one couple, and two siblings, so the stakes are high but there’s a lot of love. The first show the trio made together was a big street show, which they still love to do within summer street festivals.
