Overview:
As a WOF Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of service.
Responsibilities:
• Vehicle Inspections:
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, including cars, and motorcycles, to assess their roadworthiness and safety.
• Follow established inspection procedures and checklists to evaluate key safety components, such as brakes, lights, tires, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
• Identify and document any defects, issues, or non-compliance with safety standards.
• Compliance with Safety Standards:
• Ensure that all inspections are conducted in compliance with local and national safety standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the WOF inspection requirements.
• Documentation and Records:
• Maintain accurate and organized records of each inspection, including the results, any deficiencies found, and any corrective actions taken.
• Provide clear and concise reports to vehicle owners regarding inspection outcomes and any necessary repairs.
• Customer Service:
• Interact with vehicle owners, providing clear explanations of inspection results and necessary repairs.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Ensure that all inspection equipment and tools are well-maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
• Report any equipment issues for timely repairs or replacements.
• Quality Assurance:
• Maintain a commitment to accuracy and consistency in inspections to uphold the reputation and trust of DS Auto Ltd.
Requirements:
• Valid WOF Inspector’s license, as required by the local or national governing authority.
• Knowledge of automotive safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with vehicle owners and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Physical stamina to perform inspections, which may involve standing, bending, and lifting.
• Previous experience as a WOF inspector is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation:
• Hourly rate in the range of $30 to $40 per hour based on a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Some Saturday morning work is involved.
