Our Grandfather Squadron Leader Jasbir Singh Gill was in the Royal India Air Force.
During this time in the Air Force he took a liking to a nice cold lager, but found the beer to be heavy.
One of his squadron members showed him a trick to remove the glycerin from his beer. In India, glycerin is added to beers to help increase shelf life in the hot climate.
