Students from Waimea College visited the Museum: Nelson Provincial Museum

Last week 23 English as Second Language students from Waimea College visited the Museum and worked with Whaea Kelly.
The students enjoyed an introduction to Te Ao Māori and local stories, as well as exploring our natural history exhibition ‘Te Hītori Aoturoa: Learning from Nature’ where they loved learning about our native birds.
The students hail from Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
Thanks to their teacher Rebecca Henagan for bringing such a great group of Year 11 and 12 students to visit.
We hope to see you again soon!
