Celebrating “Unity in Diversity” at Multicultural Festival 2025
Join us to celebrate “Unity in Diversity” together with young and old, new and established Nelsonians. This much-loved community festival has been running for over 20 years and this year it will take place at the Founders Heritage Park again!
-Choose from a number of tantalizing food stalls that will delight your senses.
-Check out the arts and crafts and community/educational stalls.
-Enjoy the music, songs, and dance from around the world.
-Gold coin entry
Bring your family and friends along for Nelson’s best day out!
Please bring cash on the day as not all stallholders will have eftpos.
We also strive to be environmentally friendly by minimising waste. BYO plates, cups and utensils or you can hire them on the day.
Be a part of the great connection and celebration of all people with your family and friends.

✨ Gulaan – our Special Guest at the Multicultural Festival 2025! ✨🎶
Celebrating 30 years in music, New Caledonian musician Gulaan is bringing his unique blend of Pacific heritage and modern sounds to Nelson 🌍🎤
His upcoming ‘Pasifika Me Saso’ tour will unite Pacific cultures through music, culminating in a major concert in Paris later in the year.
Don’t miss this chance to experience his soulful performance live at our own Multicultural Festival – including collaborations with local performers.

This year, we’re bringing some fun outdoor games, and we can’t wait to experience the Japanese tradition of “Yo Yo Tsuri” with our amazing Japanese Community. 🇯🇵
Got any fun game ideas from your culture that you’d like to share? Drop them in the comments – we’d love to include as many as we can! Let’s make this a festival to remember! 🙌
Big thanks to Jono at Nelson Coachlines for again sponsoring a ‘festival’ bus to take people to and from the Multicultural Festival 2025.
The free bus will drive between Victory and Founders on the half hour (stopping at the Nelson Depot), which means you can leave your car a bit further away from the event and avoid the stress of parking.
The first bus (9.30am) and last bus (4.00pm) of the day will also take in Stoke and Tāhunanui – starting at Countdown Main Road Stoke and the Bus Stop at the traffic lights at Tāhunanui.
