Supporting and Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace
The WorkWell Team invites you to our free webinar ‘Supporting and Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace’. The webinar will run live on Wednesday 23 July from 9am – 10am via MS Teams.
A workplace can have a significant influence on a person’s mental health and wellbeing. Therefore, workplaces are in a unique position to implement systems and strategies that will create a supportive work environment. By doing so, they are creating a safe and caring culture, with the likely benefits including improved staff moral and job satisfaction, increased productivity and ability to balance work and life.
This webinar will be facilitated by the National Public Health Service (NPHS) and will include presentations from keynote speakers from WorkSafe, the primary health and safety regulator, and the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.
What is included in the webinar?
Mentally Healthy Work Advisors Vanessa Cooper and Angela McGregor from WorkSafe will present their newly developed ‘Managing Psychosocial Risks at Work’ guidelines. The guidelines are designed to support workplaces to recognise, manage and prevent psychosocial risks.
Health Promoters Sophie Moore and Kylie Ryan from the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand will explain the essential elements to maintaining a positive organisational environment from their ‘Working Well’ guidelines.
The WorkWell team will present the mental health and wellbeing resources available on the WorkWell website.
This webinar is intended for business owners, managers, wellbeing leads, health and safety representatives and staff members with a passion for mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
