This week Nick had the privilege of heading away to represent Victus at the ‘NZ Awards for Excellence’, while I held the fort at home and in the cafe. ☕️
As much as I would have loved to be there too, that’s the reality of running a family business. Sometimes one of us gets to celebrate the milestones while the other keeps everything ticking over behind the scenes. It takes both. It’s truly a team effort, and none of it would be possible without the hard work, support and dedication of our incredible team.
Nick had an amazing time! He caught up with some great people, met some new ones, and had the honour of representing both Victus and Nelson among some of the very best businesses in New Zealand.
While we didn’t bring home the trophy this year, we’re genuinely grateful to have been recognised as finalists alongside such an outstanding group of businesses. Congratulations to all of the winners. You’ve achieved something really special. 💫🥇
Being recognised like this is a special moment, but building a business we’re proud of happens every other day of the year.
This recognition means a lot to us, but it doesn’t really change what we’ll be doing today. We’ll still be opening the doors early, making coffees, serving great food, leading our team, and doing our best to create a place where people feel welcome. That’s always been the heart of Victus and it always will be.
So a big thank you to everyone who supports Victus. Being named among NZ’s best is something we’re incredibly proud of! 🩷🫶🏼
