Sonar Flare To Headline NZ Cider Festival 2026

New Zealand band Sonar Flare will headline NZ Cider Festival 2026, bringing a two-hour set of iconic Aotearoa rock, festival favourites and fresh original energy. Sonar Flare is a NZ rock collective featuring members and collaborators connected to Opshop, The Feelers, Zed, Sola Rosa, Synthony, Kaylee Bell and more.
Now entering its 11th year, the festival has firmly established itself as New Zealand’s premier cider event, attracting visitors from across the country to experience the diverse flavours, innovation, and craftsmanship of New Zealand’s thriving cider industry.
Festival Director Shelley Haring says the festival continues to evolve while staying true to its roots.

Festival-goers can look forward to sampling a wide range of ciders from producers throughout New Zealand, alongside craft beer, wine & cider cocktails.
The festival remains one of Nelson’s most anticipated annual events and a welcome start to the summer festival season. Providing a platform for producers, supporting local businesses, and showcasing the region as a destination for food and beverage lovers.
Whether you’re a dedicated cider enthusiast or simply looking for a great day out with friends and family, the New Zealand Cider Festival offers something for everyone.
