The Te Tauihu Accessibility Expo is just 3 weeks away — here’s what you can expect! 🎉
After a fantastic inaugural year that welcomed 500+ people through the doors, the Te Tauihu Accessibility Expo returns on Sunday 13 September, 10am–3pm at the Trafalgar Centre, Nelson — and this year we’re going bigger!
This free community day is the region’s dedicated event for people of all abilities, their whānau, friends, and supporters. Whether you’re after information and services, or just a fun, welcoming day out, there’s something for everyone.
Here’s a taste of what’s on:
🟢 40+ stalls from health, disability support, education, sport & recreation, advocacy and mobility/equipment providers from right across the region
🎤 A full speaker programme — Speaker topics include navigating the system, the impact of the social model of disability and how we can improve access in the community.
🎶 Live entertainment & activities — wheelchair basketball, interactive activities, craft, and more
🎁 Prize draws throughout the day
