Being Invisible…

Greeting dear friends & fellow navigators, & welcome to my world this week. If you ever come close enough to me, you will know how the sun sets slower, how the clouds drift in the rhythm of our breaths, how the sky never repeats itself, & how hands can hold something invisible even while reaching through empty air.

You will understand there is always more beneath the surface of a person than what they show. A single word can become a memory, a feeling can become a lifetime, & one person can become the beginning of an entire book without ever knowing they were the reason it was written.

You will learn how silence has its own language & how the emotions we fail to name quietly become the stories we bury, hoping time will keep them hidden. You will understand why people slowly become the very things they once promised they would never be, why forgiveness is sometimes harder than anger, & why guilt can linger long after everyone else has forgotten what happened.

You will see every scar carries a history, even the ones hidden beneath smiles, & some people spend years pretending they are fine simply because they no longer remember how to explain what hurts.
You will understand why someone keeps old letters tucked away in a drawer, why a song can suddenly feel heavier after one person leaves, why certain streets are avoided without a second thought, & why some names are spoken only inside the mind. You will realize healing is not always loud. On rare occasions it looks like sitting quietly with your own thoughts until they stop feeling like strangers. Usually, it is choosing to wake up again, even when yesterday asked you not to.

Come close enough, & you will notice I remember the smallest things. The way someone hesitated before saying goodbye. The sentence they almost finished. The smile which disappeared a little too quickly. I notice the pauses between words because people often reveal themselves there. The loudest truths are rarely spoken out loud. They live in the silences we leave behind, in the eyes looking away too soon, & in the hands which almost reached out before deciding against it.

Perhaps you will discover people are not difficult to understand because they are complicated. They are difficult because they have spent years learning how to hide. Every disappointment teaches another layer of protection. Every goodbye builds another wall. Yet beneath all of this, every heart quietly hopes someone will stay long enough to understand the parts never spoken.

So, if you ever come close enough to me, do not rush to understand me all at once. Stay for the quiet moments. Stay for the stories as they take time to unfold. Stay long enough to see how the ordinary becomes extraordinary when someone finally feels safe enough to be fully seen. This is where the truest parts of a person have always lived.

Just few observations again dear friends & provide an opinion in my world. Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your being here. If my journey encourages you also, all is well with my soul. Looking forward to next week; this is Kenn Butler in Paradise, Nelson with best wishes
