Culture Burger Joint (formerly Burger Culture), Nelson’s only dedicated burger joint – fresh, handcrafted, independent. Our fundamental goal is to create a destination that delights the senses. Be nostalgic, cast your mind back to when you were a kid; you only ever did what you wanted to do. Stuff that’s fun, exciting, maybe a bit rebellious. This is a playground for your inner child, let that kid out – it’s still there, screaming out for a burger.

We’re the kids that have owned and run neighbouring pub, The Vic, since 2010. The team is an amalgamation of people we love working with who hold a passion for hospitality and drive for success. Family is one of our key values, and everyone who works here is a part of that.

 Culture Coffee Hatch, here for your caffeine fix, brekkie burgers, and sweet treats from our resident Baker, Rui at La Chula Bakehouse.
We exclusively serve Soul Arch coffee (one of only 3 venues to get it!), a local, family-owned roastery here in Nelson, with Oakland’s A2 milk from up the road in Richmond.

Culture Beer House, the newest addition to the Culture empire. Culture Beer House is one of the country’s, nay, the World’s, only exclusive Hop Federation tap rooms (there’s one in Riwaka, too).

Along with frosty, local, award-winning beers on tap (12 of them!), we’ve got some of the region’s finest vino, original recipe cocktails, and strictly (where poss) Kiwi owned & growned spirits.
