Date/Time: Monday, 16 September 2019 from 17:30-19:30
Location: Nelson City, New Zealand
Hosted by Ministry for the Environment
We will be in Nelson on Monday the 16th of September to talk to you about some important environmental and water policy proposals. Come along to hear more, ask questions and have your say.
The Government has opened consultation on a policy package to better look after our freshwater – our rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands. We are also inviting feedback on policies to protect our productive land, grow our cities to benefit people and the environment, and also better deal with harmful waste and chemicals.
Kiwis care deeply about protecting our environment – it is part of our DNA and it’s fundamental to who we are. Looking after the health of our environment is crucial for our wellbeing, our economy, our future and the future of our children.
One of the Government’s top three priorities is to protect our environment and transition NZ to a sustainable, low emissions future.
