What a gorgeous run of weather we are finally having! These sunny warmer days are great for our growers and producers. It is an exciting time of year at the Nelson Farmers Market. There are a number of new stalls starting. Last week we welcomed Sunshine Smoothies and welcomed back Kai Fungi.
Sunshine Smoothies makes a range of mouth-watering smoothies using fresh fruit and vegetables. She also makes real fruit ice-cream. Guaranteed to be a winner over the warmer months.
Kai Fungi create oyster mushroom growing kits so you can easily grown your own mushrooms at home. Over the coming months he has plans to extend the variety of mushrooms you can grow as well as start selling some fresh and dried mushrooms.
Annika’s Bakery is a really popular stall with her gluten-free buckwheat loaves. Recently she extend her range and now produces seed crackers in three different flavours; 6 Seed, Hemp Heart/Rosemary and Tumeric/Cumin. These are a perfect morning or afternoon snack, either on their own or slathered with your favourite topping.
Kai Rescue with be at the Nelson Farmers Market on 25 September raising awareness about their service and gathering donations so they can continue operating.
