It has been an incredibly busy month at the Nelson Farmers Market. Lots of new seasonal stalls have arrived bringing with them an abundance of summer fruit and vegetables. It really is an exciting time of year with new produce and stalls arriving weekly. Please pop on down and see what’s fresh this week. We are open in Kirby Lane (105 Bridge Street) from 8.00am to 1.30pm

Welcome Back to Romano’s
We are beyond excited to have Romano’s back at the Nelson Farmers Market with their sensational Capri tomatoes and vegetables, including eggplant, fennel, cucumber, capsicum, and zucchini. As always the quality and flavour is outstanding.

Welcome Back to Little Shaggery Farm
It’s wonderful having Little Shaggery Farm back at the Market. At the moment they have their organic plums and apples available. More fruit is coming in season very shortly so keep checking at the stall to see what’s fresh this week.

Koefaga Vanilla
The Koefaga Vanilla stall will be closing for the season in mid February. Patricia will have a countdown of markets notice on her stall, so now is the time to check your pantry and stock up on your vanilla supply for the coming months. Online orders for Koefaga vanilla through www.vanilla4cooking.nz are also an option.

Welcome to Spring Grove Strawberries
Spring Grove Strawberries attended our pre-Christmas market and like it so much they have stayed on. This is fantastic as they have been growing strawberries for many years and grow large, juicy, bright red strawberries. Pop on down and give them a try. They come in a range of sizes.

Welcome Back to Umukuri
Umukuri are back at the Nelson Farmers Market with their crisp Scarlett O’Hara peaches, variety of plums and apples.

FRUT 4 U Lowes Orchard
FRUT 4 U Lowes Orchard specialise in growing top quality stone and pipfruit. They currently have a range of beautiful tree ripened fruit including white and yellow flesh peaches, white and yellow flesh nectarines, new seasons pears, juice and super tasty strawberries. Coming soon will be new seasons apples! Keep an eye on the stall as new produce arrives on a regular basis at this time of year.

Co-Op Stall Update
The Co-Op Stall at the Nelson Farmers Market has artisan food from local producers. Aroha Chocolate, Old Road Estate Candied Figs, Pinoli Pinenuts, and a new producer is Homemade.Kiwi who makes a range of dehydrated pre-mixes. There are five different dried soup mixes, veggie fritters, vegetable frittata, tropical fruit smoothie and dried mandarins. These are fantastic when camping, tramping or just wanting dinner in a hurry. Heke Homemade Herbals will be away for a month from the Co-Op stall.
