Gourmet Catering began in April 2003. Six years later it found a home at iconic Nelson venue, The Grape Escape, which Carol part owned. Carol sold her share of The Grape Escape in 2012 but never lost her passion for food and catering. She continues to delight private and corporate clients with innovative cuisine at affordable prices. In short, Carol is known for delivering outstanding customer service; she plans events to perfection.
“Since Beachside Nelson opened two years ago, we have welcomed many guests through the doors. The fabulous location has made it the perfect venue for private parties and celebrations and corporate events. Many local and visiting businesses use the function rooms”, says Carol.
At Beachside Nelson, situated in the heart of Tahunanui, Beachside has three function rooms to choose from. They can cater for any sized gathering, large or small. The spaces are incredibly versatile and can be set up for various types of private or corporate functions.
The venue has wireless internet throughout and can provide everything you need for your meetings, conferences, and workshops. Including, projectors, screens, whiteboards, stationary.
Carol has a passion for food, and she knows the importance it plays in making your event a success. “We offer a full catering service with a selection of price per head menus to choose from, including our famous Grazing Tables. Alternatively, we can offer a bespoke menu planning service.”
In more recent years, Carol has invested in the Beachside Nelson Conference & Events Centre. This is now the permanent home of her Gourmet Catering. This expansion allows Carol to offer a one-stop-shop solution for her clients who are looking for walk-in, walk-out, fully catered functions.
“Whether you’re holding a business or a private function; the food you serve can make or break an event. That’s why we are delighted that we are also the permanent home of our own Gourmet Catering as well as being a Nelson Event Centre”.
