Nelson City is only Nelson City when the people are there.
Your Nelson City Centre very much look forward to welcoming back their customers, having missed them over the past couple of weeks. “It has been a difficult time for the City’s business community who need the support of Nelsonians now more than ever, so let’s support our local businesses where we can. “A little retail therapy is good for us, as well as for the shops and services, just be mindful of playing by the (new) rules that help keep everyone safe and remember to be sensible and respectful of each other says Simon Duffy, Uniquely Nelson.
As we approach Mental Health Awareness Week, taking place 27 September – 3 October 2021, we acknowledge just how meaningful and important mental health awareness is to our society this year. Perhaps this pandemic will help create a kinder and more compassionate society; where it feels safe to speak openly of suffering, and to feel confident to ask for help and know we will receive it. Maybe we have started to create a culture where it is a sign of strength to show kindness and compassion, both to others and to ourselves.
