Experience our new exhibition ‘Morimoritia Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho | Treasured: Objects of Mana & Significance’

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house last night during the blessing of our new exhibition ‘Morimoritia Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho | Treasured: Objects of Mana & Significance.’
“This exhibition is a love letter to the community” said TBHT Board Chair Olivia Hall, and that sense of aroha was felt widely amongst those present. Representatives of local Iwi, of the Tongan community and of Nelson City Council and Tasman District Councils gathered alongside museum team members and friends for karakia, speeches and celebration.
Speakers also included Museums Aotearoa CEO Adele Fitzpatrick and Nelson City Councillor Matty Anderson.
The exhibition is now open to the public until the 9th of July and is FREE for Nelson Tasman locals and ratepayers.
