National Volunteer Week Spotlight: Natureland Wildlife Trust
National Volunteer Week Spotlight #1 – Food Prep Legends 🍎🥕
We’re kicking off our Volunteer Week celebrations with a huge shoutout to our amazing Food Prep Volunteers — starting with the incredible person pictured here, Sally, the master of the food prep station. Not only does she make delicious meals for our animals, but she bakes for us too.
These behind-the-scenes heroes chop, weigh, and prep nutritious meals every day to keep our animals happy and healthy. Their care, dedication, and ninja knife skills are second to none — we couldn’t do it without them!
Thank you for all that you do ❤

June 15–21
This week, we’re celebrating the incredible power of volunteering — and the amazing people who give their time, energy, and heart to help others. 💙
To all our volunteers: thank you. Your mahi makes a real and lasting difference — not only within our organisation, but right across Aotearoa. Every hour you give helps to strengthen communities, uplift lives, and build a more connected, compassionate New Zealand.
Throughout the week, we’ll be shining a light on the incredible volunteers behind the scenes — passionate people in all kinds of roles who help keep Natureland running and thriving.
Whether you volunteer regularly or whenever you can — we see you, we appreciate you, and we simply couldn’t do this without you.
Ngā mihi nui ❤
