Fix stuff fast
If you spot something that needs fixing, tidying up, or that’s simply out of place on a Council asset or land, one of the easiest ways to let us know is via the Antenno app.
Available on both the Android and iPhone app store, Antenno allows you to quickly take a photo of an issue before sending it straight to our customer service team who make sure the job gets assigned to the right team or contractor.
Location and contact details can also be sent, which makes it easier for us to pinpoint exactly where the fix is required.
Customer Experience Manager Matt Lorraine says Council is always happy to receive information about issues from the community.
“We can’t be everywhere all at once, so getting information like this from the community is extremely useful. It means the issue is logged into our system with all the relevant information and we can respond to a problem as quickly as possible,” he says.
Examples of things that are good to report include litter, broken playground equipment, an abandoned vehicle or a roaming dog.
“For anything urgent that needs immediate attention, a burst watermain for instance, we do want people to call our Customer Service Centre on 03 546 0200, especially out of office hours and on the weekend. Outside of these circumstances though, an Antenno report is a quick and convenient way to let us know of an issue that needs to be sorted.”
Once a user makes a report using Antenno, they will be sent an email with a Service Request number included. Council staff may get in contact if they need more information to resolve the reported issue.
The app’s not just for reporting issues, Council also uses it to send important messages straight to mobile phones. Users can choose the sort of information they would like to receive, whether that’s a reminder to put out your yellow recycling bin on the right day, emergency water outages, or major road closures.
The app is also one of the channels we will use to convey important information in the event of a Civil Defence emergency.
