Taste of Spring | Nelson Farmers Market

For the next two weeks during the school holidays the Nelson Farmers Market will be running a Taste of Spring promotion. During this time they will be offering tastings at many of the stalls, and running special promotions such as Braeburn apples for $2 per kg at FRUT 4 U Lowes Orchard , Te Morehu cheese from Kaikoura Cheese at 25% discount and cheese pies from Just Be Food & Drink for $5.50.

For the younger Market goers there will be the opportunity to plant a seed and/or make some juice using fresh market ingredients.

The Farmers Market also welcomes back Rainbow Kitchen who are returning after their break. Rainbow Kitchen makes a range of delicious vegan pies and will have two pies for $15 as part of their Taste of Spring Promotion. Miles from the Salami Press Deli Co will be starting on 2 October with his range of salami and cured meats. He is a fantastic addition to the Farmers Market and well worth visiting his stall.  D’Hondt and Sons, with their range of fermented foods, hemp milk and hemp burgers will also be starting. Finally a new large scale vegetable stall is starting. They have a diverse range of high quality vegetable grown locally in Appleby.

The Nelson Farmers Market is on Every Wednesday  in Kirby Lane (105 Bridge Street) from 8.30am to 1.30pm. Pop on down and see what’s fresh this week.
